Reporter Asks if Ben Simmons is “Soft”

At the end of Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers’ media day press conference, a reporter asked straight-up if Ben Simmons is soft:
I think that was Tim Furlong, from NBC 10. Direct. Right to the point!
It’s something to think about though, the idea that if Ben Simmons does come back, what’s to say he’s a different player? The offensive non-contribution is still going to be a huge issue. Even if Ben was in camp today and everything was hunky dory with his teammates, that question would still be asked. People were calling for him to be traded before any of the fractured relationship news even came out.
Anyway, Cowboys vs. Eagles tonight.
