Fan Wants Gritty to Sit Down Because “I Didn’t Pay to See You”

Gritty turned out to be a great mascot. We originally thought the Flyers’ mascot was here to murder us, but he/she/it turned out to be a fan favorite and pop culture SENSATION.
But sometimes Gritty needs to take a back seat, or at least that’s what this fan was saying the other night:
“Sit down! I didn’t pay to see you!”
It’s a reasonable request. The mascots are sometimes up in your grill, and therefore blocking the view. It’s like when the Phillie Phanatic stands on the dugout and you can’t see anything because his big, green ass is in the way.
