Rutgers Knocks off #1 Purdue on Outrageous Buzzer Beater

Rutgers knocked off #1 Purdue Thursday night on a crazy buzzer beater:

Damn! I think I watched that eight times in a row. And the even crazier thing is that both teams are playing really good defense on those possessions. It’s 67-66 Rutgers, and Clifford Omoruyi does a nice job at keeping his feet and not fouling in the paint. Then Purdue stays with Ron Harper and tries to slow him down without grabbing or hacking, so he ends up heaving it from the logo. Those are two high-level shots in high-pressure situations.

Congrats to Rutgers, who improve to 5-4 overall ahead of a visit to #23 Seton Hall. Purdue falls to 8-1.
