Philadelphia is DROPPING the Mask Mandate (update)

It’s over. No more masks at the Wells Fargo Center for Flyers, Sixers, and Wings games:

Of course, it’s not like the mask mandate was being enforced. All you had to do was sit there sipping a beer the entire game and leave your mask down. It was a little different for media, because being around the players you were subjected to a different set of guidelines vs. most of the fans in the building.
Some other things to consider, via the city’s official website:
Even when we’re in All Clear, certain higher-risk settings like schools (including public, private, Archdiocesan, charter, and early childhood education), healthcare settings, and public transit still require people to wear masks.
For schools, we will continue to watch and evaluate the data. If it continues to move in the right direction, we plan to end mandatory masking in schools on March 9th. Then, we will have a 1 week mask requirement after spring break to avoid a post break surge in cases.
City buildings will require masks until Monday, March 7, 2022. Beginning on that date, masks will be optional for visitors and fully vaccinated staff. Unvaccinated staff are still required to wear two masks while indoors and around others.
Anyway, we made it. Fingers crossed, we’re done with the masks forever.
UPDATE –
Here’s official confirmation that you can go maskless:
