PHILADELPHIA (June 1, 2022) – Yesterday, Wells Fargo Center officially began demolition and construction on the arena’s brand-new, $50+ million Club Level, which is set to open for the start of the Flyers and 76ers seasons in the Fall of 2022. The new Club Level, which will instantly become Philadelphia’s premiere sports and entertainment experience, will be themed to honor Philadelphia’s rich sports and entertainment past while also showcasing the newest technologies and entertainment experiences. This new Club Level is part of Wells Fargo’s (sic) Center $300+ million Transformation project, fully funded by Comcast Spectacor, which is slated to be completed in the summer of 2023.  The transformed arena is the anchor of the world-renowned Stadium District and a critical part of South Philadelphia’s rapid development.

Right, so Comcast has been doing this project over the course of a few years now. COVID hit, and they soldiered through that, so it’s been quite the haul down there. They added the monolithic 4k scoreboard, redid the main concourse, added the Assembly Room, Revolutionary Row, Liberty Lofts, etc. It’s really nice down there now.

Here’s some of what’s coming with the club level revamp (this is verbatim from the release) –

Celebrity Chef Program: Philly is home to some of the best chefs and dining experiences in the world, and the new Wells Fargo Center’s Club Level will feature some of the top names from the city’s culinary scene. Specialty menus from local chefs and mixologists will be featured at two cornerstone locations on the Club Level along with a brand-new exclusive concept in the arena’s only sit-down restaurant, The Grille. More details on the program will be announced in the coming weeks.

Club Level Bars: All Club Level seat and suite holders will have exclusive access to the four new Club Level bars, which are themed to honor Philadelphia’s sporting past and present.

East and West bars: Located on opposite sides of the arena, these central, expansive bar areas are mirror images of one another and serve as a place for Club seat holders to relax and have a drink pre-game and during breaks in the action. A central place to socialize with clear sightlines to the ice, court or stage, these bars will be themed around one of the central features of a working two-team arena: the changeover, the switch from an ice surface to a basketball court (or concert) that takes place at the arena between events. The East and West bars will present a behind-the-scenes look at the changeover process, while serving as a living manifestation of the process itself. The bars will themselves transform between Flyers, Sixers and concert events, presenting a totally unique experience, look, and feel.

The Showplace Bar: A whiskey bar with a traditional aesthetic, designed and themed to recall America’s Showplace: The Spectrum. Guests can pop in for a drink and a stroll down memory lane as they explore artifacts and portraits from the great history of the Spectrum. The bar will offer patrons the option to secure personal whiskey lockers alongside greats in Philadelphia sports history.

The Center Bar: A tequila bar with a modern aesthetic, designed and themed to recall the more recent era of Philadelphia sports stars and performing artists. Guests can treat themselves to a drink as they explore memorabilia and memories from the last few decades of Philadelphia sports, music and culture.

Exclusive Retail: The new Club Level will also debut an exclusive shopping experience with a new retail location featuring specialty items only available to Club Level and Suite guests. The retail store, like other parts of the Club Level, will pivot between Flyers and Sixers games. The store will feature a mix of premium products from high-end brands and custom streetwear from designers with local ties. Luxury items like winter coats, travel bags, watches, and glassware from brands like Tumi, Peter Millar, Cutter & Buck, Vineyard Vines, and North Face will create a first-class shopping experience. More details on the exclusive retail offerings will be announced in the coming weeks.

New seating layout and options: The all-new Club Level’s extensive redesign will transform the current multi-box structure of the Club Level and open up more than 13,000 square feet to create a premium, open-seating layout. The dynamic, modern space will feature 1,585 seats from four, unique options:

Club Premier: 248 seats – The only seat in Wells Fargo Center with in-seat service from any food and beverage location in the arena. Want a Toothsome Milkshake? It’s coming right down from the Mezzanine. Want to try Philly’s best cheesesteak from Delco Steaks? You can have that delivered right to your seat, too. Plus, each ticket comes with $30 in loaded value that can be used for food, beverage, or merchandise throughout the arena, and Flyers and Sixers playoff tickets are included in the price of the seat. These exclusive seats are already sold out for the 2022-2023 season.

Club Select: 1,021 seats – Similar to the Club Premier option, including loaded value for food, beverages, and merchandise; however, in-seat service is limited to Club Level menu options and Flyers and Sixers playoff tickets are not included.

Brand-new Loge seating: 136 heated seats – Experience the largest, most comfortable seat in the building. This seat has great views, $30 in loaded value for food, beverages, and merchandise, a ledge to support dining and drinks, and USB ports for charging your devices. The Loge also has a one-of-a-kind feature within Wells Fargo Center: personally controllable, heated seats.

Grille Row: 180 seats – These seats are located directly in front of the Grille, providing easy access to the reimagined members-only restaurant featuring a new, Philly-specific culinary concept to be announced soon. These tickets also come with loaded value for food, beverages, and merchandise.

Premium Seating Entrance & Lobby: This brand-new entrance and lobby will be located on the Broad Street side of the arena and adjacent to the VIP parking lot, making it easier than ever for premium seat holders to enter and exit the arena. Inside the new entrance will be an expansive lobby area with a high-end bar, multiple seating options, and cozy fireplaces for guests to relax pre-game or wait for other members of their party to arrive. Upon arrival to the Club Level, guests will also have access to a secured coat check.
