They could really go for a trade deadline starter now. They already needed one, but yeah, let’s expedite the process here. Go get Syndergaard or whomever is out there, otherwise you’re rolling this Nola/Wheeler/Gibson/Suarez/etc rotation through the end of the month.
Eflin has a 4.37 ERA this season and started 13 games before a right knee bruise sidelined him in June. He had surgery on both knees back in 2016 then had surgery on the right side again last September, so it’s been a recurring thing with him. Just makes you wonder if they have to be extra careful here based on the history.
