What does $51 million get you? A $115,000 BMW Alpina B7.
As I watched Roy Halladay pull away from Bright House Field the other day in his BMW M6 (pic from 2010), I just sort of figured that he had the most expensive BMW for a Philly athlete (roughly $110,000).
Bryz beats him.
Here’s a photo, courtesy of reader (@g81ross), who works in the Manoa Shopping, which is where Bryz was signing autographs at BC Sports yesterday. That there is a BMW Alpina B7. Retail price: 115 humongous big ones. That’s thousands, yo.
Under the hood, Alpina B7 has a 4.4-liter V8 engine, that produces 507 hp with an evil most of 700 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, and an electronically narrow top haste of 280 km/h means the car is both immediate and rapidly. High performance pistons were put in place to exchange with the 1.0 bar ceiling turbo boost. Two new large-vane turbochargers have been mounted with an optimized intercooler logic.
I found an old article from Sporting News (October, 2010)* where Bryz talks about having a black 2009 Alpina. So, no upgrade since that mega deal. But who needs one?
*Another bit of tid from the 2010 article on Bryz: "My bucket list: 1. Fly to space."
Yeah, that sounds about right.
