Phillies Set New Record for Most Home Runs in Four-Game Playoff Stretch (UPDATED)

Last night we did a story titled “Phillies Set New Record for Most Home Runs in Three-Game Playoff Stretch.” Now we are updating it because the Phillies have set a new record for the most home runs in a four-game playoff stretch:
Kyle Schwarber goes yard again. The Phillies now have more home runs in a 4 game postseason stretch than any team in MLB history — and it’s only the 4th inning. All they do is hit bombs. Unrealpic.twitter.com/zpPoAXkm7e

Ball go boom.
It’s pretty wild because they’ve now hit now hit eight solo home runs in a row (EDIT – it’s now 9 in a row lolz) –
- NLCS Game 2: Turner, Schwarber 2x (solo shots)
- NLCS Game 1: Schwarber, Harper, Castellanos (all solo shots)
- NLDS Game 4: Castellanos (2x), Turner (all solo shots)
- NLDS Game 3: Castellanos (2x), Harper (2x), Turner, Marsh (Bryce with a three-run shot, everything else a solo homer)
You take the Brandon Marsh homer out of there and it’s 13 combined dingers from four guys over four games. That’s incredible. These dudes are RAKING. Put Merrill Kelly in the bagster!
