Ben Verlander getting obliterated for this one:

“This means everything. It’s the most important signing in Dodgers history. I have no problem saying that. It’s the most important, it’s the biggest, I think it will be the most impactful…”

You know, I’m gonna have to go out on a limb and say that Jackie Robinson’s signing was a little more important. Not a huge deal, but he broke the color barrier and brought about the end of racial segregation in American sports.

I don’t know too much about Ben Verlander, but the sense I get from Phillies fan reaction that he seems like kind of a dweeb. Is he a dweeb? A nepo-baby? Nothing personal, but this one made me laugh hard:
