In Soviet Russia, goaltender make Phil Kessel his bitch!

We will shut up now.

The National Hockey League announced today that Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov has been named the 'First Star' of the week ending Mar. 11.

In his last four games, Bryzgalov posted a perfect 4-0-0 record, an astounding 0.49 goals-against average and .985 save percentage to go along with three shutouts, including two in back-to-back fashion over the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs respectively.

He currently owns a shutout streak of 136:13, and over his last 240 minutes between the pipes, has turned aside 128 of 130 shots he's faced.

Well played, Russian. Well played.
