Andrew Porter at Audacy.com:

Rob Ellis will replace Glen Macnow joining Mike Sielski on SportsRadio 94WIP’s Saturday morning show from 10am-1pm.

Ellis, who filled in for Joe DeCamara on Wednesday’s 94WIP Morning Show, made the announcement on the air at 8:00am on Wednesday, while Sielski called in.

Ellis and Sielski will do their first show together this Saturday, July 20th before Sielski goes to Paris to cover the Olympics.

Good move. Rob is a pro. You need someone with institutional knowledge to do that Saturday 10 a.m. shift, which has always been reserved for straightforward sports talk. Need to have a veteran in that time slot ala Macnow, Ray Diddy, Sielski, or Jody Mac. I guess Go Birds Radio usually follows, so you’re hitting on both ends of the old school/new school weekend spectrum.

Nothing in writeup about Sundays. I’ll ask around and see if that’s been determined yet. It was previously Glen and Mike on Saturdays, then Mac and Mac on Sundays, but the story only mentions Rob doing Saturdays.
