Beasley Media Group is doing another round of layoffs as we speak, and longtime WMGK host Andre Gardner is among the cuts:

That’s a really nice note, and Andre informed listeners on air as well, around 2:20 p.m. Friday afternoon. It’s ultra-rare that management allows someone to work a final shift after they’ve been informed that their job is being cut, and it’s ultra-rare that a laid off employee even wants to do a final shift, but Gardner is one of those people who deserves it. He’s been in Philadelphia for more than 20 years and is a respected radio veteran. Don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say a negative thing about Andre Gardner.

I’m hearing that some behind the scenes folks were let go as well, one a veteran in the sales department. Will continue to “effort” that information.

If you recall, Beasley just had cuts five months ago, back in May, which saw the Fanatic departure of Pat Egan and Jen Scordo, plus other producers and behind-the-scenes folks in the Philadelphia cluster, which includes MMR, MGK, WXTU, and BEN FM.
