Zack Baun with another huge game, this time in Jerry World:

On the season it’s 87 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception, two PBUs, and nine stuffs. That’s in 518 defensive snaps.

If you go through his four years in New Orleans, the stats look like this:

  • 88 tackles
  • 6 tackles for loss
  • 2 sacks
  • 0 forced fumbles
  • one interception
  • 2 PBUs
  • 7 stuffs
  • 660 snaps
  • 62 games
  • 14 starts

So, in nine Eagles games, Baun has more or less outperformed his four seasons in NOLA. Not bad! This is the product of someone giving you a chance, then you take it and run with it. Reminder, Howie Roseman brought this guy in on a one-year deal hitting $1.6 million against the cap, and Nakobe Dean is still on his rookie deal as well, so sometimes the Eagles’ approach with the linebackers turns out ugly (see: Morrow, Nicholas), and sometimes you get a year like 2024. Baun has been playing some great football. He’s “flying around” out there.
