Watched this a few times thinking that Bears head coach Ben Johnson was joking around, but I don’t think he is:

Does it become an explosive play ever?

No lol. It’s not supposed to be an explosive play. It was designed to gain one yard on the ground.

I like big plays.” Of course the finesse guy says that. Maybe he doesn’t think that touchdowns and first downs are “big plays.” Sometimes you scheme up a bit of brilliance in the passing game, but what’s also effective is when your offensive line steamrolls a bunch of fools to put Jalen Hurts into the end zone for six. Maybe Ben Johnson’s idea of a “big play” is to have Jared Goff go empty set at the goal line and then throw a pick. At least they tried to make it look cool! Ask Pete Carroll if the Seahawks should have thrown a slant instead of handing the ball to Marshawn Lynch in the Super Bowl.

Chicago Bears 5-12 this season. Hammer the under. Ben Johnson:
