Nick Castellanos is out of the lineup for the first time since September of 2023 because he made an inappropriate comment after being pulled for Johan Rojas during Monday’s game:

Castellanos’ 236 consecutive games streak is over. Cal Ripken’s record is safe for the time being. Wouldn’t washing his mouth out with soap be enough? Maybe not.

I feel like whatever Castellanos said would have to be pretty out of line if Topper is willing to ruin a guy’s games streak over it. He’s never been one to make an example out of guys. Topper is stubborn to a fault. I love this move. Let the fanbase know who’s steering the ship. This is Topper’s team. He’s El Jefe. You show him or one of his coaches up in front of the team and you’re going to pay the price. Those who show respect, get respect.

The ironic part is the same people on social media that would say Rob doesn’t hold guys accountable are now the same ones calling him soft for making an example out of Castey. Guy just can’t win:
