15 years & 6,500 or so bylines later, I’ve decided to leave my role at NBC Sports Philly. Series in Houston my last for now

The constant farewells are the worst part of this industry. You never get used to it. I’ll still be covering ball in various forms tho, so not disappearing

Corey had been with NBCSP for a long time. These days you’re lucky to get 15 years out of the business, let alone 15 at the same place, so that’s something to hang your hat on. Corey’s LinkedIn says he graduated from PSU in 2011 and he’d been with Comcast SportsNet/NBCSP ever since.

We’ll see what’s next for him, but looking at the bigger picture, that’s two knowledgeable baseball voices now departed. Jim Salisbury left NBC Sports Philadelphia early in 2023 and is now doing some work for PHLY while hosting a podcast with Todd Zolecki and Ruben Amaro Jr. Recent NBCSP Phillies bylines include Seidman, Dan Roche, Noah Levick, and Brooke Destra. They’ve got Jordan Hall on the Flyers and Roob and Dave Zangaro on the Eagles, plus their video and podcast offerings with John Clark and assorted on-camera talent.
