KaVontae Turpin’s Arrest Only the Second-Most Embarrassing Thing He’s Done as a Cowboy

Dallas Cowboys All-Pro kick returner KaVontae Turpin was arrested Saturday by the Allen (Texas) Police Department and is facing two misdemeanor charges, according to online records.
Turpin, 28, was booked into the Collin County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces) and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
He was released from custody Sunday after posting $1,500 bond.
A Dallas Cowboy arrested? A stunning turn of events. In other news, water is wet, the grass is green, and trash continues to pile up in Philadelphia.
But this is not the most embarrassing thing KaVontae Turpin has done during his Dallas Cowboys tenure. Not even close. That is reserved for his participation in one of the greatest plays of all time, the “Dallas Special” that ended the Cowboys’ 2023 season at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers:
It never gets old. “You want Dallas Dallas? Yeah let’s do it!” That clip is two and a half years old now and it’s as fresh as the day it was spawned. What’s unfortunate is that we never got to see it again. We never got to see it run the way it was supposed to be run, which we think was a pitch back to Dak Prescott, who was then supposed to lateral the ball to his right to have Zeke Elliott run behind four blockers. But Zeke was flattened in 2 seconds and Turpin was tackled immediately, so it just did not come off.
How bout them Cowboys!
