SOFT! –

What are these guys, European soccer players at the Club World Cup? Heyo!

What’s funny is that Joe and Jack weren’t exactly gonna be playing the Wimbledon final. This isn’t a five-set match between Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras. It’s part of a WIP bit where they battle each other in different sports to determine a winner. It’s a low-leverage exercise for content and laughs, not Roland-Garros.

It’s supposed to be 92 degrees with 50% humidity in Philadelphia at noon, which isn’t exactly code red “stay inside” weather unless you’re 90 years old and/or have respiratory issues. Do you think the landscapers and roofers and blue collar workers of the Delaware Valley took the day off? Hell nah! They’re outside in jeans and long sleeves cutting down trees and laying bricks and building houses. The Latino laborers of the Philadelphia region are rolling their eyes at this incredible piece of gringo news. You’re telling me a couple of guys who sit in an air conditioned studio and talk about sports can’t go outside for an hour and play a little tennis? Incredible! On a related note, now WIP has their content for the day.

But Ed Rendell was right:
