Sicko Weekend: Eagles a Four-Point Favorite in Preseason Clash With Browns
By Joe Tansey

I don’t claim to be an NFL preseason betting expert, but I was taken aback by the line for the Eagles’ Saturday afternoon clash with the Cleveland Browns.
The Birds are ONLY a four-point favorite at bet365 against a team with a quarterback injury report longer than a CVS receipt.
Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders and Kenny Pickett are all dealing with some sort of issue and there’s no reason for the Browns to risk Joe Flacco.
We know that Preseason Superstar and MVP Tanner McKee will get a bulk of the offensive snaps for the Birds.
McKee went 20-for-25 with 252 yards in last week’s 34-point outburst against the Cincinnati Bengals. Johnny Wilson wasn’t bad either and Will Shipley had some decent carries.
Most of the hullabaloo around the Browns last week was with Sanders and his two touchdown passes, but there’s no guarantee he steps on the field on Saturday, plus the Carolina Panthers are a far easier opponent to face than the Eagles.
It’s a shame you can’t bet certain player props in preseason (Yeah I can’t believe I wrote that either), but McKee would have some value at Pennsylvania sports betting apps and New Jersey sports betting apps because he’s done well in these spots.
Anyway, I think getting the Birds at -155 on the first-half money line is good value because we at least know what McKee is capable of in a preseason setting and there’s enough unknown surrounding the Browns.
The Over/Under at BetMGM is 37.5. I think you can look into the over on that side.
Both the Browns and Eagles hit the over in their respective preseason openers, and for what it’s worth, 11 of the 16 games in Preseason Week 1 had at least 40 points.
If anything, the Tanner McKee Show will take you away from your Nick Castellanos-driven anger for a few hours.
