The Phillies Riding With Cactus Jack’s “BANG! BANG!” for the Playoffs is a Huge Moment for Attitude-Era Kids Everywhere

Out in Los Angeles, the clubhouse beers were being bonged and we got a little taste of what celebrations are like in the Phillies locker room. The most important thing we learned is that Red October will be filled with bang after bang after bang:
I haven’t seen it confirmed anywhere, but that has to be Cactus Jack’s “BANG! BANG!”, right? That’s the only mainstream reference I can think of that works here:

I mean Harrison Bader and Kyle Schwarber grew up in the prime years of the “Attitude Era.” It all makes too much sense. The tone. The finger guns. It’s all perfect. Not to mention it’s a perfect celebration since Mick Foley’s Cactus Jack persona was used in ECW.
This is exactly the identity I want this team to take on. “Dancing On My Own” was Dude Love. Dude Love was all about love and peace and didn’t have much dog in him. Mankind was them sheepishly going away against the Mets while being inflicted with as much pain as possible. Cactus Jack is a sadistic psycho who welcomes pain and adversity. Unhinged in his ways. Hardcore. He has pain inflicted on himself and gives it back 10x harder. That’s what we saw Monday night/Tuesday morning when the Phils battled back and forth with the Dodgers. Blow after blow and they just kept on coming. That’s the Cactus Jack way. BANG! BANG!
Look at this deranged psycho cutting a promo:
When the Houston Astros no hit the Phils in the World Series…IT HURT! When the scrappy Diamondbacks sent the Phillies packing in the NLCS…IT HURT! When our most hated rival dominated the Phillies in the playoffs last year…IT HURT! Next time I’ll kill them…and get it over quickly.
Time for revenge. BANG! BANG!
