Some chatter about Matt Strahm showing that home run pitch to Andy Pages on second base. Check out the arm motion being signaled to Teoscar Hernandez:

“I watched videos. He likes to go up in the strike zone. I think that’s when he’s stronger. And something up in the strike zone, my first three at-bats I chased a little down. Not trying to over swing or anything like that, get a hit, maybe bring in one run, try to tie the game…”

It’s reminiscent of earlier in the season with Jesus Luzardo and his issues with guys on base. He had to make adjustments to work out of that and get himself back on track. Obviously there’s, uh, not much time in this case with the Phils down 1-0 in the NLDS.

This is perfectly legal, of course. LA isn’t banging on a trash can or anything like that. It sure seems like Pages identified what was coming here, but maybe we’ll learn a bit more in the next 24 hours as the sleuths do their thing. On the other hand, you leave something at that height, it’s probably getting smoked whether it was tipped or not.
