Brutal:

Penn State opened the season a national title favorite, ranked in the top three. They went through a weak non-conference slate with no issues before dropping the white out home game against Oregon in overtime. That preceded a choke job against then-winless UCLA, and now they’ve lost three in a row after a 22-21 home defeat to Northwestern.

Now it’s redshirt freshman Ethan Grunkemeyer taking the Lions into the second half of their schedule, which includes home games vs. Indiana and Nebraska and road games against Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Rutgers. At this point they might be fighting for bowl eligibility, which is incredible. If they get to 7-5 at this point it might be a minor miracle.

On the other hand, this might be it for Big Game James. Just gotta scrape together that buyout money and cut the cord. WE ARE! Finally getting rid of James Franklin.
