If you didn’t catch the Temple Owls win against powerhouse Delaware State on Wednesday night, you missed a performance from Gavin “LeBron Frames” Griffiths, who was doing things like this:

Did you see how far he had to reach back for that? An Exciting White on my basketball team?!

God, the nickname “LeBron Frames” rules so hard. It might be the greatest nickname in Philly basketball history. I’m not even lying. You have The Answer, Speedy Claxton, Dr. J, The Boston Strangler, Wilt “The Stilt” Chamberlain, Chocolate Thunder, and Sauce Castillo. Legendary nicknames. Sure, Allen Iverson was a cultural icon, but a kid wearing specs blows him out of the water. That’s not even me being biased. We’re weeks away from the entire stadium wearing prescription Rec Specs? Lasik surgery appointments are going to tumble once he becomes a country-wide sex symbol. Am I putting too much stock in a tune-up game? Absolutely not. You want me to not fall in love with LeBron Frames while he plays for my alma mater? Impossible. I haven’t seen a white guy with this much swag rock the Temple T since Pepe Sanchez:

Especially when he’s putting up these kind of numbers:

Frames came from Nebraska after spending a season at Rutgers. He was a former four-star recruit ranked in the top-25 of his class. Now he’s on North Broad and it looks like he’s found a home in the AAC. Take us to the promise land, Frames! Get this guy a Rec Specs NIL deal stat.

We’re watching the next Cream Abdul-Jabbar. I’m telling you it goes Chalamet, Elordi, Frames, right now:
