The Refs Must Have Been Out to Lunch When Micah Parsons Blatantly Tripped Saquon Barkley

The refs kinda stunk on Monday Night Football, not as bad as they typically do, but in addition to missing false starts against both the Packers and Eagles on QB sneaks, they must have had blindfolds on when Micah Parsons pulled a judo trip on Saquon Barkley late in the fourth quarter:

Tell ya what, I think Saquon breaks an arm tackle from Isaiah McDuffie there and gets the first down. Impossible to know for sure, he it seemed like he hit that hole with some good momentum before dirty cheat Parsons stuck a leg out.

This was a 2nd and 7 play with about four minutes left in the game and set the Eagles up with 3rd and 2 at the 50 yard line. They just barely converted on the following play, but it wouldn’t have come down to that if the refs did their jobs. Tripping is a 15-yard personal foul and an automatic first down, so it would have put the Birds beyond midfield with first and 10.

Thankfully it didn’t matter, but NFL refs continue to be useless.
