Did the La Salle Student Section Save the Big 5 Rollout?
By Kyle Pagan

Wednesday night Villanova faced off against La Salle in Glaser Arena. It was a forgettable game with Nova taking it 70-55. The only thing people should remember for this game is the La Salle student section with a couple solid rollouts*:
A rare twofer! Take a shot at your opponent on the court for giving away Yankees hats at a Nova alumni event against the Phillies and stay topical when this week we learned that St. Joe’s jerseys were designed out of a factory in Lilliput:
I love it!
La Salle’s student section, The Olney Outlaws, had more up their sleeves:
The greatest rollout ever? No. One of the greatest designs ever? Absolutely. Like The Gola Standard said it has to be the first rollout in Big 5 history to have a barcode on it. Kevin Willard is the most follicly challenged coach in the last 40+ years at Nova. You gotta wonder if they can win with a coach who doesn’t dress to the nines and have hair
*Is solid a stretch? Sure. Compared to some of the crazy rollouts we’ve seen in the past. But remember you have to grade rollouts in 2025 on a curve. With how soft college administrations are nowadays the juice isn’t worth the squeeze to jeopardize your degree for a sign at a Nova vs. La Salle game. You can’t really roll out, “JayVaugn Pinkston, redshirting or orangejumpsuiting?” like St. Joes fans did back in the day after he punched two frat kids. I still think Nova doesn’t even let their students do rollouts at the Pavillion. A hilarious move for a school that is always accused of wanting to kill the Big 5. Nobody is making fun of Temple’s gambling scandal or the fact that La Salle is on the brink of financial ruin or that Nova school shooter hoax this year or making a joke at Trump/Epstein against Penn or ribbing St. Joes that Delonte West has a better future than St. Joes basketball because some Karen complains, the Big 5 gets embarrassed, and then overcorrects it to now there are no more rollouts allowed at games. So enjoy a good creative and topical sign when you get one.
