Hollywood Casino

Monday marked an important moment in the online gambling landscape.

PENN Entertainment had its partnership with ESPN BET officially come to an end as of midnight, just two years into a 10-year agreement.

The end of ESPN BET brought in the start of theScore Bet, PENN’s newest online sportsbook brand.

While theScore Bet does offer casino games on its app, PENN’s featured online casino app remains Hollywood Casino, which remains available in the top iGaming states in the US.

PENN Transitions ESPN BET to theScore Bet

In November, ESPN and PENN announced an end to their 10-year, $2 billion partnership just two years into the agreement.

The end of the partnership concluded as of Monday morning, but users of ESPN BET had a simple transition to theScore Bet. When opening up the app, they were received with a message to update the app, which would automatically convert to theScore Bet.

All of the user information, including their wallet and setting, carried over to the new platform.

When successfully logging in to theScore Bet, users will see pretty much the exact same interface that ESPN BET had. The colors and appearance are all the same.

Though primarily focused as a sportsbook, theScore Bet does have a casino option that you can use by selecting the casino icon at the bottom menu bar.

There you will find the casino home menu that shows available game types, available promos, and the most popular slot games on the app.

PENN Focused on Hollywood Casino, iGaming

Following the news of the split from ESPN, PENN Entertainment put focus on their expanding online casino product.

Jay Snowden, CEO and President of PENN, noted that their iCasino business was up 40% year-over-year in Q3 of 2025, posting record revenue for the quarter as well through iGaming.

In a press release for their Q3 report, Snowden noted that, “Our OSB offerings will continue to provide top of funnel acquisition and cross-sell opportunities for our Hollywood-branded iCasino, which will remain integrated into our OSB product in states where legal, in addition to serving as a standalone iCasino app.”

The Hollywood Casino app is available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
