It’s the end of an era:

Not to make light of a Patrick Mahomes injury suffered in the 4th quarter on Sunday, but this feels like the end of the Chiefs dynasty. They’ve been to five of the last six Super Bowls and fans of the other 31 NFL teams are ready to see someone else come out of the AFC. Maybe the Bills finally get over the hump with the Chiefs out of the way. Maybe the Broncos, Pats, or Jags go on a run that nobody saw coming.

It’s objectively refreshing to see something different on that side of the bracket for once, and it’s pretty clear now that the KC run came to an end in New Orleans, at Super Bowl 59. That was it right there, the ass-kicking they took at the hands of the Birds. The Eagles did it for the greater good. They went “belt to ass” on behalf of NFL fans around the country, and the world.
