We’ve Come Full Circle with Ross Tucker Calling a Tanner McKee Game to End the Eagles’ Regular Season
Hell yeah let’s go:
This is a funny way to bookend the Eagles’ preseason and regular season. It starts with Ross Tucker doing color commentary for a Tanner McKee game and ends with Ross Tucker doing color commentary for a Tanner McKee game. He knows all of the dudes who are going to be out there on Sunday. Will Shipley, Darius Cooper, and Kylen Granson. Could be a big Smael Mondon Jr. game! I’ve got Kelee Ringo picking off Josh Johnson to seal it.
Ross does a good job, and not just because he’s a Berks County guy. Shout out Berks County. He played the game at the highest level, knows the players, knows the city, and knows the vibe going into Week 18, as the Eagles rest their starters ahead of the playoffs. This isn’t your typical throwaway matchup between reserves.
Not only that, but we’re blessed with Kevin Harlan on play-by-play. My personal opinion is that Harlan is the best in the business because he has boundless enthusiasm and an innate ability to sell any game that he’s calling. He always does a nice job pulling you in and making you feel invested, whether it’s high-stakes, playoff basketball or regular season pickleball (hypothetically speaking). And in the case of a Week 18 matchup of reserves, he’ll push the right buttons and connect the audience to what’s happening on the field. It’s not going to be an instant classic, but the Birds’ backups are good enough to beat a banged-up Commanders team, and you never know what will happen in Chicago with the Lions in town.
sidenote: T Mac is doing the Bengals and Browns game. I’ve always liked T Mac on football
