Nick Foles and Jalen Hurts Have the Highest-Graded QB Performances in the Super Bowl
According to PFF, that is:
Pro Football Focus can be all over the place with these grades, as you probably know by now. Tom Brady was the quarterback opposite Foles in Super Bowl 52 and is not on this list despite throwing for 505 yards, three touchdowns, and finishing with a better QB rating. Nick arguably made the tougher throws (Corey Clement TD, for instance), and maybe got bonus points for catching the Philly Special.
PFF explained their QB ranking system back in 2019.
Other QB performances worth considering, since 2006, as the graphic notes:
- Tom Brady comeback win against the Falcons (down 28-3)
- Drew Brees vs. Colts in 2010, 288 yards and 2 TDs
- Brady’s Tampa Super Bowl, 21/29 for 201 yards and 3 TDs (125.4 QB rating)
- Flacco vs. the Niners back in 2013
- maybe throw some love to Kurt Warner vs. the Steelers, he did throw a pick and was credited with a fumble at the end, but the Cardinals couldn’t run the ball and the only thing keeping them in the game was 377 passing yards and 3 TDs
By the way, this coming Super Bowl, bet the Seahawks.
Don’t overthink it. They’re the better team. Played a tougher schedule. The Pats’ offense isn’t going to be able to put up a ton of points on that D.
