Eagles news:

Greg Olson has been coaching in the NFL for 25 years now. He’s been the QB coach for the Bears, Niners, Bucs, Lions, Jags, Rams, Seahawks, and Raiders, and has served as offensive coordinator five times not including this interim stint with the Raiders. He was even QB coach for Purdue way back when Drew Brees was playing for the Boilermakers.

The thought is that Sean Mannion is young and green and so you add a grizzled vet to the offensive staff to balance things out. You’d have a group that includes Mannion, Josh Grizzard, Olson, Nick Sirianni, and then presumably return guys like Jemal Singleton, Jeff Stoutland, and Aaron Moorehead. Some of these other jobs feel like they’re up in the air, but we’ll get coaching news sooner rather than later.

Olson has also had some great hair over the years, that slicked-back look with some distinguished grays. He has the goatee. He’s one of those guys you look at and think, “this guy has seen some shit,” in a good way. He looks like Spags if Spags was into metal. You need one of those guys on your staff.
