Lifting the A.J. Brown moratorium temporarily to share the message he shared on IG:

It’s a good message. It’s targeted at NFL players and Christians, but it’s really a secular message that’s applicable to everyone and everything. There are a lot of basic maxims that you can follow no matter who you are or what you believe, like:

  • you gotta do what makes you happy
  • the sun is going to come up tomorrow
  • other people will move on
  • you have to keep going
  • you’re on you’re own timeline
  • go talk to somebody
  • get it off your chest
  • you’re not too tough to talk to someone
  • you gotta make sure your mind is right before your body is right
  • reinforce your mind with positive thoughts
  • it’s not going to rain forever
  • stay in the fight, doesn’t matter where you’re at in life
  • it’s you vs. you
  • say affirmations around the crib
  • talk to yourself
  • when you make sure you’re good, then you can make sure everyone else is good (a spin on Nietzsche’s first principle of charity)
  • appreciate the little things
  • be where your feet are

It’s a solid message! Athletes are human beings. They take a lot of shit and are in the public spotlight and that’s tough.

Now, back to speculation about A.J. Brown’s Eagles future.
