Nov 2, 2022; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Former Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins shakes hands with former second baseman Chase Utley before they threw out the ceremonial first pitch with former manager Charlie Manuel looking on before game four of the 2022 World Series against the Houston Astros at Citizens Bank Park.

Chase Utley, you are the man!

Jimmy Rollins got in last year. Ryan Howard will probably be next. Cole Hamels is in line. They’ve got a bunch of guys from the 2008 team and that era who are deserving of inclusion. Shane Victorino? Chooooch? We’ll see.

Once they get through those inductions, there’s gonna be a big gap because nobody between 2013 and 2020 was a Wall of Fame player. Unless you wanna make a case for Darnell Sweeney and Aaron Harang. What an era that was!

Go Phils.
