Cristopher Sanchez Responding to a Korean-Language Question is the Funniest Clip of the Week
Phils ace Cristopher Sanchez is on the mound Friday night as the Dominican Republic takes on South Korea in the WBC quarterfinals.
He was asked a question by Korean media at a pre-game press conference and had no idea what was going on, resulting in this:
The guy laughing in the background has me dying. Then Sanchez gives the Kawhi Leonard belly laugh. He puts the headphones on for translation and the South Korean guy says “I’m sorry” at the end.
This is awesome. What a clip! I think he’s saying “esperate” at the beginning, which means “wait,” or “hold on.” He has absolutely no idea what this dude is saying:

The Dominicans are so loose at the WBC. They’re enjoying themselves and having a great time while crushing everybody they play. They have to be the favorites right now. They’re so dangerous and they’re completely chill. We’d all be lying if we said we’re not concerned about the Dominicans. They’re a buzzsaw right now. We need USA vs. Dominican Republic like a fish needs water. VAMANOS!
