Chris Simms’ Seething Hatred of Jalen Hurts Will Have to Continue Elsewhere After Being Taken Off “Football Night in America”

We’re a professional and classy sports blog and therefore take no pleasure in someone being ousted from a position, unless it’s half of the Phillies’ coaching staff, preferably this week. And Chris Simms will be fine because he has other responsibilities at NBC Sports, like the PFT Live show with Fake News Mike Florio, his podcast, his shitty rage bait QB rankings, and some Notre Dame and Big 10 stuff.
But you will see quite a bit of “RIP Bozo” stuff on the timeline because Simms is the #1 Jalen Hurts hater in all of America – nay, across the entirety of the globe. He was temporarily silenced after Hurts won Super Bowl MVP in early 2025, but crawled out of his weasel den a few months back to rip Hurts once again. Previously, it was so bad in the winter of 2023 that Simms looked like he was in physical pain trying to do anything but give credit to QB1. That was a few weeks after Simms threw a temper tantrum and told ESPN to “fuck off” (several times) for reposting the video clip of him calling Hurts a “system” quarterback. That was when the Eagles, en route to a Super Bowl appearance, lost a couple of games with Gardner Minshew under center, so I guess Hurts was actually pretty valuable after all!
