Jamie Apody is Doing the Sports on Fox 29 Tonight

It’s been a minute since Apody departed Action News. She’s done some stuff with FOX in the time since, joining Breland Moore and Jason Martinez on The Phantastic Sports Show, for instance. So it makes sense that she’d get another on air opportunity with the folks over there.
Not sure whether this is full-time or part-time, but we’ll find out soon enough. The FOX website lists Moore, Devan Kaney, Scott Grayson, and Tom Sredenschek as the sports staff, though Shredder just retired and Grayson was promoted to Executive Sports Producer, saying on Instagram that he’d be “on-air more and running the Sports Department.” Jeff Skversky has been doing some sports stories as a reporter as well. I’ll catch Good Day here and there but I’m kind of rusty on how they’re handling sports at 5pm, 6pm, 10pm right now.
Either way, hiring Jamie Apody is any capacity is a slam dunk for FOX. It would be a slam dunk for anybody. She has legions of fans who were really annoyed with Action News over her departure. You can find these legions on Facebook, a demographic centered heavily on middle-aged white women. Shout out to all of the middle-aged white women out there!
