Here are some big World Cup bets from our friends at BetMGM:

Uhhhh…. well that is a bold strategy, Cotton! Let’s see if it pays off for them.

Haiti has the longest odds to win the tournament at BetMGM, tied with Curacao. There are 46 teams with better odds to win the whole thing, so this is the long shot of all long shots.

The Haitians are in a tough group that includes Brazil, Morocco, and Scotland. Morocco went on a big run in the 2022 World Cup and Brazil is Brazil. Scotland isn’t very good, but they’ve got a bunch of players from the Premier League and handful from Italy’s Serie A as well. Haiti has a Philadelphia Union player starting in the midfield and is probably bringing Penn alumnus Duke Lacroix off the bench. Maybe he starts? We’ll see.

Tell ya what, though, Haiti played two recent exhibition games to prepare for the tournament and they looked pretty good. They hammered New Zealand 4-0 in Florida, then lost 2-1 to Peru, though they were up 1-0 until the 81st minute.

So you can’t count out the Haitians. I hope this guy wins $2.5 million on them.
