The biggest games of the weekend are in the SEC and Big Ten, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. And in each of what I view as the three biggest games, the home underdogs are barking.
Ohio State travels to Iowa as a 14.5-point favorite, Alabama travels to Mississippi State as a 5.5-point favorite, and Florida travels to Missouri also as a 5.5-point favorite.
I like all of the underdogs in these games.
- Winning by more than two TDs at Iowa is a tough task, and I didn’t love what I saw from Ohio State’s offense in its lone major test so far.
- Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor is one of the most exciting players in the country, and Alabama doesn’t have a great history as a road favorite against QBs like him.
- Florida is riding high after its win over Ole Miss, but people are underestimating how much that Ole Miss team was emotionally drained. Now Florida has to battle the same thing against a lively Missouri team.
