Big Dom was at some event with the Philadelphia Democratic Party on Monday night:

Apparently this was the annual Autumn Dinner and it took place at the casino down at the sports complex. I have unearthed this information using my journalism skills (Google). Tickets were $200 and the usual suspects were there – Mayor Parker and Ryan Boyer and Kenyatta Johnson and etc.

What’s funny is seeing comments like these:

Hes a LIB?????? https://t.co/ByIubwqzwM

Maybe the most shocked i’ve been about a political reveal possibly ever https://t.co/DsSxGssJEY

Glad he’s not MAGA but if we lose again next week I want Fettuccini Fetterman gone https://t.co/nYAX3eMQiU

Why is it funny? Because Big Dom went to the White House when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. He was actually the first person that President Trump greeted at the ceremony.

He even said a few words at the podium! –

“I just want to say thank you, we’re honored to be here, thank you President Trump, and that’s it, go Birds.”

That was it. That was the entirety of his comments. Big Dom never speaks, but he did at the White House visit, wich led people believe that he was some sort of MAGA, because they were crafting thoughts of a rudimentary and linear nature. “Hmm… Big Dom is at the White House. The White House is controlled by the Republicans. THEREFORE – Big Dom must be a Republican. Yes! That’s it!”

Now these people are doing the same thing for this image:

“Hmm… Big Dom is at the Autumn Dinner. The Autumn Dinner is run by Philadelphia Democrats. THEREFORE – Big Dom must be a Democrat!”

So what now?

He’s appeared at Trump’s White House and Philly Democrats’ casino event. On Columbus Day, no less! Is he MAGA or a Lib? WHICH IS IT! Because, as you know, you are either one thing or the other, according to the partisans with the loudest political voices.

Not that any of this matters. Dom could be a MAGA or a Lib. If I had to guess, he’s a South Philly Dem, like Jim Kenney when he was on council, but before he became mayor. Blue collar Philly labor union type of Democrat.

But it’s not a big deal. It’s just funny how binary the thinking is these days: “If you’re not one, you must be the other!”
