Video: British Announcers Call Phillies-Marlins Game

This is great, and spot-on, too. If you’ve ever watched an EPL match, you know that British announcers are delightfully adorable, like you just want to squeeze them until they sprout little coins or tell you a tale. The words they are saying – besides being hysterically proper, chap – are utter nonsense and form the sort of sports narrative that we’ve grown to disdain in this country. A special goal for a special man, the night is his in West London! But, because they’re said by a British guy, they somehow add to the experience. So consider me 100% on board for having the folks from The Whistle, an online sports comedy troupe, replace T-Mac, because this Bad British Comedy of a Phillies-Marlins game is spectacular.
