At tonight’s MLB Draft — shown on the MLB Network — the Phillies used their #10 overall pick on Cornelius Randolph, a high school shortstop from outside of Atlanta. According to an MLB.com draft preview video, he may eventually be better suited for second base and has “a short, quick swing that allows him to make consistent hard contact to all fields with the potential for power.” Multiple reports say the Phillies plan to make him an outfielder.
You can watch a workout video of Randolph after the jump.
