Sad News: Willie Green’s Sister Dies in Car Accident

A brief splash of cold water on the euphoria that is today. Willie Green's sister and cousin were killed in an automobile accident last night, just hours after watching Willie Green play in Detroit. [NOLA.com]
Tamara Lynette Green, 30, and her cousing, Gary Benjamin Green, 27, died in the crash, according to Green's father, Willie Sr. Gary Green was driving the vehicle that crashed on southbound Interstate 75 in Troy. The car was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed, Troy Police Lt. Robert Redmond told the Detroit Free Press.
We obviously wish Willie and his family the best.
