Report: Chip Kelly REALLY Wanted to Coach Colin Kaepernick

Before Chip Kelly was even fired, Eliot Shorr-Parks was beating the Chip-wants-to-coach-Colin Kaepernick drum. He may have been right. According to Ian Rapppopopoport, Chip was “trying to figure out how to trade for/sign Colin Kaepernick” as he was plotting his next moves in the NFL.
Maybe that’s why, in the first place, Chip reached out to the Niners, not the other way around. So whether Chip had many options or not, the Niners may have been at the top of his list because of Kaep. And it makes you wonder: Was Kaepernick on the top of Chip the GM’s wishlist before he got fired? I guess we’ll never know.
