One of ESPN’s main “how is that guy still getting paid” employees – The Chris Berman Club, as it’s called – will soon no longer be paid nor an employee. Skip Bayless, the yelling photo negative of Stephen A. Smith, is done. From a press release:

Skip Bayless has decided to leave ESPN when his contract expires at the end of August.

His final appearance on First Take will be the day after the NBA Finals conclude.

We want to thank Skip for his many contributions to ESPN. His hard work and talent have benefited ESPN for 12 years.

The Worldwide Leader lost Mike Tirico yesterday (which is bad) and now Skip (which is good– for viewers at least). While Tirico landed at NBC, Bayless will reportedly land with similar hot-take artists Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock at Fox Sports giving you now a third reason to not watch Fox Sports, the WCW of sports TV.
