CNN Confuses Michael Barkann and Gubernatorial Candidate Scott Wagner

On Friday, GOP gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner released a since-deleted Facebook video warning PA Governor Tom Wolf that “[he] better put a catcher’s mask on [his] face, because I’m gonna stomp all over [his] face with golf spikes.” That didn’t go over well with many, so Wagner offered a retraction and reiteration of his commitment to the people of Pennsylvania in a quasi-apology video on Facebook.
Anyway, what does this have to do with Philly sports and Michael Barkann? CNN, whose banner header reads “#FactsFirst” used Barkann’s image in a tweet in place of Wagner.
The tweet has since been deleted. Was this a maliciously-created tweet meant to slander the NBCSN Philadelphia anchor? Doubtful. Humorous? Possibly. We report, you decide.
