Things got a little chippy last night in Los Angeles.

The Sixers did get the tough 119-113 win over the Clippers, but there was some extra activity.

Joel Embiid returned to the court with 28 points, 19 rebounds, and three assists. He also collided with Ben Simmons while trying to get a rebound and it didn’t sound good:

Then in the fourth, we saw a little bit of pushing and shoving. First with Embiid and Patrick Beverley:

A couple minutes later, it was Jimmy Butler (who said he’ll “be done with this game before I’m 35“) and Avery Bradley getting involved. And both were ejected:

The Clippers made it an interesting game late, but Ben Simmons closed out the win with a really good inbounds play (that probably should’ve been a turnover):

The team is back in action tonight as they take on the Suns in Phoenix. Tip-off is at 9 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Markelle Fultz was with the team for the Clippers game. He’ll reportedly be re-evaluated next week.

The Roundup:

The Flyers continue to suck. They fell to the Predators 4-0 last night with backup goalie Jusse Sarros getting the shutout with 32 saves. They won only one game on their five-game road swing, which was the first game against the Rangers in a shootout. Viktor Arvidsson score twice in the win for Nashville.

Up next is a return to home against Carolina on Thursday.

Mike Groh and Jim Schwartz had their weekly press conferences before taking on the Bears on Sunday afternoon.

In other sports news, Kentucky defeated Penn State in the Citrus Bowl, LSU ended UCF’s unbeaten streak in the Fiesta Bowl, and Ohio State held off Washington in the Rose Bowl in Urban Meyer’s final game as head coach.

Texas upset Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Sam Ehlinger officially declared Texas is back. But the biggest moment of the game came before opening kickoff:

Texas won twice last night.

The Bruins defeated the Blackhawks in the Winter Classic.

Tyler Trent lost his battle with cancer. He was 20. #TylerStrong

Christian Pulisic will go to Chelsea at the end of this season.

In the news, the Mummers Parade was yesterday. I completely forgot about it and I’m fine with that.

Mitt Romney isn’t happy with Donald Trump.
