Making an online casino deposit using a gift card has never been easier.
More and more online casinos are opening up to the idea of prepaid cards as a quick and easy deposit option.
Here’s a look at some of the available gift cards for online casinos and how to make a deposit using them.
Available Online Casino Gift Cards
Before getting into making the deposit, let’s break down all the available online casino gift cards.
These are largely found at convenience stores in legal iGaming states like 7-Eleven, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Speedway, Sheetz, Dollar General, and more.
BetMGM Casino Gift Card
BetMGM gift card have had some slight alterations over the years, but they are available through a partnership with TAPP.
Current offerings include $50, or $100 options with an additional bonus attached to each one.
These gift cards can work for BetMGM Sportsbook or BetMGM Casino and are readily available at participating stores where iGaming is legal.
DraftKings Casino Gift Card
DraftKings is one of the other big-name operators that produces its own branded gift cards.
These cards carry value anywhere from $20-$100 and can be used with any of the online products DraftKings offers, including DraftKings Casino.
With DraftKings now offering online casinos, online sports betting, daily fantasy, and prediction markets, these cards are even more convenient to have.
theScore Bet/Hollywood Casino Gift Card
Prior to making a change from ESPN Bet to theScore Bet, PENN Entertainment had ESPN Bet gift cards that worked for its online sportsbook, or the online casino product of Hollywood Casino.
Now that theScore Bet has taken over the online sports betting product, gift cards are appearing again for PENN.
These theScore Bet gift cards come in $25 or $50 value and can be used at the online sportsbook, or with Hollywood Casino in legal iGaming states where the app is available.
Though not as visible in the market, these gift cards are out there.
On top of the branded gift cards, PENN also features PENN Play Gift Cards, which are purchased through the casino and can be applied to your Hollywood Casino online account as well. These cards can contain greater fund amounts, but are not as readily available.
Game On Gift Cards
Another gift card deposit option comes through Game On, which has partnered with multiple online gambling operators to offer an all-in-one gift card option.
Game On gift cards range from $20-$500 depending on customer preference and can go toward one of the following operators:
- BetMGM Casino
- BetRivers Casino
- DraftKings Casino
- FanDuel Casino
These cards work all the same, as you purchase the card for the amount desired and would upload the information just like you would the branded gift cards.
Depositing an Online Casino Gift Card
When you have your gift card purchased, making the deposit is quick and easy. I’ve personally done it multiple times with different operators and never hit a snag.
Obviously branded cards need to be deposited for their specific online casino. Game On gift cards need to be used for one of their four available options.
In any case, here’s the basics of uploading your gift card for a deposit.
- Visit your “Account” page on the online casino of choice.
- Click on “Deposit” in your account page, or if it’s available on the home page.
- Choose “Prepaid/Gift Card” as your deposit option.
- Enter your gift card number and any pin attached to it.
- Once the code is entered, the online casino will confirm your deposit amount.
- Click “Deposit” or “OK” to complete the transaction.
That’s all it takes. Now your gift card will be properly deposited into your online casino account.
Other Casino Prepaid Card Deposit Options
Aside from gift cards, prepaid cards are also available as a deposit method.
Visa/Mastercard Prepaid Cards: These cards that are available at most convenient stores have preset amounts set for them. Many online casinos will accept them as a deposit method in the “Prepaid Cards” options.
Play+ Cards: A Play+ account is a separate account that customer use for online gaming. Users deposit funds into their Play+ account and then can use that account or “Play+ card” to make deposits at online casinos or online gaming sites. Most legal US online casinos are accepting Play+ as a deposit option.
