Andy Bloom brought Brian to WIP in 2012 to host the station’s evening show. I might have the timeline wrong, but I think he ended up replacing Josh Innes when Josh was moved from nights to afternoon drive. Rob Ellis and Anthony Gargano then went over to 97.5 the Fanatic.
At least I think that’s how it went…
Sludge worked that shift for a while before the role disappeared. I don’t know the how/what/why of that, but he remained with the station as Creative Director and did a TON of production and voiceover work while launching a podcast with Matt Battle, who also works behind the scenes for Entercom.
Sludge came over from Chicago, where he was doing a rock/talk morning format.
