BIG TRADE IN THE NFL!

Sike! The team with the 31st-ranked defense in points and yards allowed per game traded for a linebacker from the team with the 32nd-ranked defense in points and yards allowed per game. It’s like swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. Logan Wilson was traded from the Exxon Valdez oil spill to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

No disrespect to Wilson himself, who was a really good player not too long ago. But he’s 29 now and losing snaps and requested a trade. The Cowboys need a whole lot more than one linebacker whose best days are behind him, so unless Wilson transforms into prime Ray Lewis over night, it’s probably not going to be THAT impactful in a vacuum.

The funny thing though is Jerry Jones telling Stephen A. Smith the other day that the Cowboys had a deal in place. A mysterious, secret trade to improve the team! Were they trading for Myles Garrett? Jalen Carter? Micah Parsons? No. But they did send a 7th round draft pick to the Bengals for a benched linebacker. Was that the deal Jerry was alluding to, or does he have something else up his sleeve? That crafty old fox!

EDIT – maybe it was this he was talking about, a Quinnen Williams overpay! lol
