Flyers Keeping the “Brick by Brick” Slogan in 2026, an Homage to the Process Sixers
Flyers camp is underway and it looks like the “Brick by Brick” slogan is back for another year:
The Flyers actually sent out a press release about this last year, on September 18th, revealing that “Brick by Brick” was replacing the “New Era of Orange.” It was a rebuilding-themed slogan because they were “laying a foundation of grit, accountability, and pride that will define the next chapter of Flyers hockey.”
No press release this year, at least not yet.
“Brick by Brick” still holds in 2026-2027 because this is largely the same team from last year. Same core, but turning the rebuild corner. They traded for Joseph Woll and Porter Martone is here from the beginning. Matvei Michkov weighs fewer pounds and Noel Acciari is in the house. They swung for the fences with the Leo Carlsson offer sheet and the figurative ball was caught at the warning track, but I think there’s cautious optimism for this team moving forward without the superstar splash that honestly probably wasn’t going to happen anyway. There were no prize free agents out there to begin with and you weren’t gonna ship off a bunch of these young guys in a blockbuster trade.
Therefore – “Brick by Brick” is fine. Note in the banner from Jordan’s photo that Matvei Michkov isn’t on it. They’ve got Captain Coots, TK, Travis Sanheim, Jamie Drysdale, and then that looks like Tyson Foerster. Those are the five guys they picked for this particular banner. Maybe someone is SENDING A MESSAGE to Michkov, or maybe not. But I’m sure some people will analyze that and overreact.
