Luke is handling the Dave Dombrowski press conference, so let’s get a check of Flyers futures from our friends at BetMGM:

Ah yes, there they are, near the bottom, with 1.4% of the Stanley Cup tickets and a half percentage point of the handle. The Flyers opened at +5000 to win the Cup, certainly nowhere close to being a favorite, but they slipped to +6600 last week and are now at +15000. That’s a shift of +10000 in just eight winless games to begin the season.

Over at Kalshi, meanwhile, the Flyers are <1% to win the Eastern Conference and 1% to win the Metro. They are 17% to make the playoffs and have a 30% chance to reach 90 points.

They finished with 98 last year en route to the postseason, so this is a pretty sad breakdown:

The worst NHL teams typically finish between 70 and 80 points, though the pitiful Canucks mustered only 58 points last season. At 0-5-3, the Flyers are currently pacing out to 30.7 points, which will not happen. They’ll course correct at some point here… right?

As such, there’s not a lot of value out there at the current moment, though maybe we sit here for a few more games and then look at the percentages for 80+ points and 85+ points. In the meantime, we will prepare ourselves with a Kalshi promo code and BetMGM bonus code. Then we watch the Detroit and Ottawa games and feel out the percentages. And when the time is right, we STRIKE. Then we cash.

Go Flyers!
